Can't connect to the internet

Not being able to connect to the internet can be a very common issue that even top businesses can run into which would lead into major problems if not dealt with like: an employee not being able to do their work or accessing web resources.

There is many ways to be able fix this problem if it is to occur to prevent it from happening for a long time. The first step to fixing this would be by verifying that all networking cables are connected to the systems as intended and to make sure that the internet services aren't down. However, if the service is down itself then the company will have to get in contact with the Internet Service Provider.

After that the next step would be to verify that the correct drivers are installed on they system as a faulty or outdated network driver could cause the systems to not work meaning that they won't be able to connect to the internet 

Page will not print

Another common issue that many people run into is not being able to not being able to print their work that they have done which can often be infuriating.

The simple fix to this problem is to ensure that the printer is installed to the system and that it has access to the printer. However, there is another way which is that the user is unable to to print because they have selected the wrong printer when they have tried to print a document.

If the printer is on the system and selected the program the user is trying to print from, then the next step would be to check that the printer has paper that can be printed and has ink for the paper to look like their document they're wanting to print. This can usually be the most simplest reason for the printer to not be working so it is worth checking if everything else seems fine.

shortcut to files not working

sometimes one of the most annoying problems is that a popup relating to a file will come on screen. A reason for this is that a file may no longer be existing as it has either been removed or the file that it was stored on may no longer present on the system. To fix this is to ensure that all the drives are correctly connected, if it doesn't work then just restore the file from a backup. 

Screen is displayed upside down

The screen can usually be displayed upside down due to a simply button miss click, this is because many systems will have shortcuts to do this. On a intel GPU, it is Ctrl+Alt+Up Arrow will display the screen to the correct orientation which is usually the shortcut key to the solution

Desktop background has changed

An uncommon issue to occur is that is the desktop background will change

The first step to fixing this is by making sure that the file that is set as a background image is present on the system because a missing image will mean that the system will set the display to the default background

After that, make sure that the device is connected to the network since issues with the background could occur is the system isn't able to access the network with the specific file  


Screen icons are too small

This issue usually affects people with sight loss, a simple and easy way to fix this is by right clicking the screen and increasing the icons to a larger size, and if that doesn't help then the user will be able to access display settings and increase the screen's scaling size

 For this I had to create a mock up that involved 3 accounts and 3 folders that will have different accessibility to certain folders. The 3 different accounts I was to create are Junior Staff, managers and Directors. The 3 folders that I was to create was General, management and Polices and Procedures folder. Each of these folders will be accessed by at least 2 accounts.  The General folder is accessible by all with complete access by all accounts, then Policies and Procedures folder is accessed by all however the junior staff only has access to read it and has no access to change anything, same with the manager while directors have full accessibility to it.
